On Wednesday 31st October, St. Pius X Parish ended the month of the Rosary inside church introducing the Human Rosary. The beads of the Rosary was formed by parish members young and old representing the eleven communities in the Parish. Each member would say the Our Father, the next person then said the first part of Hail Mary then the people respond with the Holy Mary, this continued until the Glory be and Oh my Jesus, when that was done, these members then took up a bouquet of flower or a single flower up and placed in front of Our Lady. This was done for the whole five decades of the Rosary.
This was the first time being done in the Parish since I can remember. Some members who took part said, this was different and a new experience and meaningful, some said they like the way it was done and they feel the inclusiveness in participation i.e. more people and of age groups involved in saying the rosary. The Rosary ended at 6.30pm, followed by Mass and later a social in the hall to mark the end of the month of the Rosary.
The Evangelisation Commission extend a big thank you to parishioners who turned up in numbers to support the end of the Rosary in church. May God bless us all
